What are the best condoms to last longer if you have premature ejaculation? The answer is that it’s a dead heat between two leading manufacturers. Both have similar effects and work in the same way. So, what are they?
The condoms I’m talking about both contain a medical-grade topical (meaning to be applied on the skin) anesthetic that has been used for decades in medical circles throughout the world: benzocaine.
Benzocaine is similar to many other anesthetics such as lidocaine, procaine and many others. It works by blocking off nerve signals that travel from your penis to your brain. In this way, you register fewer sensations. With fewer sensations registered, you therefore get aroused much more slowly than normally and it takes you longer to reach ejaculation.
Note that nothing has changed in terms of your sensitivity to sensations. A sensation will still arouse you greatly and more than the average man but because they are reduced, you can therefore last longer.
In these best condoms, the benzocaine is stored as a gel in the tip of the condom which is placed there as part of the final manufacturing process. It looks wet and waxy and as soon as you roll the condom on it starts to melt in reaction with your body heat and flow onto your glans and become absorbed where it soon starts to take effect, within a matter of minutes. For best results, I recommend that you wait five minutes after rolling the condom on before starting to have sex.
How much time can you gain? The dose in these condoms is fairly low so you can expect to gain up to 50% extra, maybe five extra minutes at best. Don’t expect miracles.
The best thing about these condoms is that the mild dose means that you don’t feel much loss of sensation at all. This can be compared with using a higher dose with a spray (e.g. Stud 100) where you can gain more time but your feelings will be more greatly diminished. Another great thing is that there is no danger of your partner’s vagina becoming “numbed up” as the anesthetic is enclosed by the condom at the tip end and will not leak out unlike cases of anesthetic use without a condom.
Best Condom Brands
The leading two condom manufacturers in the world, Durex and Trojan, both make climax control condoms.
Durex has two brands, the Performa and the Performax. Both are identical except in name. Quite why they use two different names in different territories escapes me but perhaps there were trademark issues or something, that’s all I can think of.
Trojan’s brand is called the Extended Pleasure.
As mentioned earlier, both manufacturers produce what is really a very similar product. When I used to have premature ejaculation, I tried both brands and found no difference. Often you won’t have a choice anyway as both manufacturers tend to compete in different markets. Trojan is dominant in the USA whereas Durex is dominant in Europe and much of the rest of the world. So if you come across only one of these brands then you are not losing out in any way.
